Hello and welcome to the latest issue of The Ghoulish Times. My name is Max Booth III. I’m a writer, publisher, editor, and podcaster. In this week’s newsletter, expect more of a news roundup than a typical “topic”. Currently very busy times in Ghoul Land. So busy, in fact, that I bailed on attending SXSW this weekend, despite having obtained a free press badge to the film festival. I simply couldn’t justify putting work on hold for a week to watch a bunch of movies. So, here we go! Some ghoulish news, and such.
Danger Slater’s MOONFELLOWS – Cover Reveal & Pre-Orders Available Now!
On July 20, 2022, we will unleash the never-before-told true story of the original moon landing.
Danger Slater’s new book, Moonfellows, has been a long time in the making. Every government agency in the country has attempted to prevent us from publishing it. We were offered cash bribes. We were threatened with law suits, death, and things far worse.
We ignored them all.
This story simply needs to be released, once and for all. To hell with the consequences!
Behold, Matthew Revert’s cover art for Moonfellows!
ONE SMALL STEP FOR MAN, ONE GIANT LEAP INTO THE EXISTENTIAL ABYSS
Washington DC. 1906. The inaugural mission of the Moonfellow Program. A chance to shape the future of civilization as we know it. Our first tentative steps out into the stars…
It was a complete and unequivocal disaster.
Now a hapless gravedigger finds himself among the handful of survivors stranded on the lunar surface—forced to contend with madness, conspiracies, and whatever-the-fuck that thing is on the dark side, picking them off one by one.
This is the 100% true-ish story of the brave men and women we abandoned on the moon.
Coming July 20th.
Pre-order a copy directly through our webstore and receive a signed signature plate from the author: PRE-ORDER.
Add Moonfellows to your TBR on GOODREADS.
NOTE: Moonfellows is only a Perpetual Motion Machine Publishing title, and will not be included in Ghoulish Books membership subscriptions!
Laurel Hightower’s BELOW Receives a Creepy New Trailer!
The debut title from our new horror imprint, Ghoulish Books, has officially been printed and will begin shipping out next week ahead of its March 29th release date. Check out these glorious lil’ mothmen!
As we near the much-anticipated release date, we’ve created a fun (and creepy) trailer. I recommend watching it in a dark room with headphones on, volume up.
Pre-order your copy of Below via our webstore.

My new novel, Maggots Screaming!, comes out next month. You can pre-order a signed copy directly through our webstore.
Dead End Follies just posted a very nice review of the novel. Here’s Benoit’s attempt at explaining the book’s premise, which I admit is not the easiest book to summarize, but I think he did a pretty good job:
Genuinely interested in seeing how other readers make sense of the book’s plot.
