GBF 24 vendor applications are now open

Hello and welcome to the latest issue of The Ghoulish Times. My name is Max Booth III and this is my spooky newsletter.

First, because I know many of you are waiting on this specific announcement: vendor applications for Ghoulish Book Festival 2024 are officially open for the next 24 hours only (until Sunday, August 27, 10am CST).

GBF ’24 will fall on March 15, 16, 17 and once again be held in downtown San Antonio.

Come down to our bookstore tonight for an ass whoopin’, because we’re hosting a very special event called SPOOKY SMACKDOWN, which will consist of wrestling-themed horror stories read by several authors, followed by a screening of a “secret” movie.

Scheduled to read: Lucas “Big Daddy Cool” Mangum, Shane “The Hammer” McKenzie, Susan “The Shark” Snyder, John "The Man of So, So Many Cheese Variations" Baltisberger, and Max “The Ghoul” Booth.

Earlier this week, I discovered I made a very silly mistake back in April when we initially set up our bookstore.

It turns out there is a far less-complicated way to inventory our stock—specifically, there’s an app that allows me to scan barcodes with my phone, which I didn’t know about.

So for the last two days Lori and I have been going nuts re-inventorying our entire store so it’s consistent with the new app’s system.

We aren’t quite done, but I’m planning on knocking the rest out this morning before we get super busy.

The good news is this means we are so much closer now to launching the bookstore’s website, which will have all of our stock available to buy online too. I’m hopeful we can get it going by next weekend.
