Hey folks, sorry to send out a newsletter so soon after the previous one, but I need to share a quick update with y’all concerning this week’s previously announced events.
Last night I found out I was exposed to COVID over the weekend. While I am currently testing negative, I do not feel it would be responsible to participate in either this Tuesday’s The Ghoulish Show in Austin or at Scares that Care Authorcon in Virginia. I have already notified both Brian Keene and Jake Lerner that I will not be attending the convention, after all.
This, of course, sucks, as I was greatly looking forward to the event and meeting some people I’ve known online for literally a decade now. But I don’t want to be the asshole who attends a convention after being exposed to COVID, so this is simply the right move, I think.
I know a lot of fans were looking forward to buying titles from the Ghoulish Books vendor table, so to try to make up for our absence I’ve gone ahead and added a 10% discount code to our publishing webstore, which is valid beginning right now and expires next Monday.
Simply type SCARES into the discount code box upon checkout to receive 10% off most orders (excludes gift cards and subscriptions).
ABNORMAL STATISTICS - SIGNED COPIES
On top of that, I heard from many people on social media who wished to buy signed copies of my new story collection Abnormal Statistics directly from me at Authorcon. If you would still like to purchase one of these and get it signed, you can paypal me $20 ($45 if you live out of the United States) at maxboothiii@gmail.com. Please include your address and who you’d like me to sign the book to in the paypal notes. I will sign and mail books next week, once I’ve allowed some time to pass between my initial COVID exposure.
Okay. I think that’s it. Sorry again to suddenly drop out of Authorcon! I’ll hopefully see many of you next month at the Ghoulish Book Festival in San Antonio.

Damn. Hope you continue to test negative but appreciate you being safe. Was looking forward to meeting you, but another time!
